Health Minister Dr Christopher Tufton speaks on fraud probe at UHWI
Jan 14th, 2026 | Category: Special Reports | 4:32#JamaicaGleaner JANUARY 14, 2026: The board of the University Hospital of the West Indies has reported “specific matters” from a report on the procurement activities of the hospital to the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Fraud Squad and the Jamaica Customs Agency. Following the tabling of a report from the Auditor General’s Department in Parliament on Tuesday, the board said the relevant authorities have been apprised of the audit. Health Minister Dr Christopher Tufton commented on the matter while touring the ongoing construction of the new Old Harbour Comprehensive Health Centre at 29 East Street, Old Harbour in St Catherine on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
