JLP defies historic trend to beat PNP 33-30
Feb 26th, 2016 | Category: #JaVotes2016 | 5:01FEBRUARY 26, 2016: The Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) has beaten the People’s National Party (PNP) 33-30 in the 17th general election since 1944. It was an election with one of the lowest voter turnouts at 47.7 per cent, but that did not work in favour of the incumbent PNP.
