#JamaicaGleaner OCTOBER 16, 2025: Defence Attorney Hugh Wildman this afternoon called for the dismissal of the fraud trial involving former Education Minister Ruel Reid, citing what he described as a major judicial error… The body of a female student of the University of the West Indies, Mona, was reportedly discovered on the George Alleyne Hall at the campus this morning… Rights group, Stand Up For Jamaica, says the country is now at a critical juncture in its response to mental illness as, despite years of advocacy, thousands of Jamaicans still live without meaningful access to mental health care… Security company, Beryllium Limited, says it has launched a comprehensive internal investigation into theft of assets from one of its trucks on Saturday…
