Dancers move in a circle around a central raised platform (yagura) while musicians play traditional instruments, and participants often wear yukata. The dance consists of simple, repetitive steps that are easy for people of all ages to learn and enjoy, creating a lively and communal atmosphere with festive food and drink stalls.
