#JamaicaGleaner JUNE 16, 2023: Mother of slain taxi operator, Ackeem 'Russian' Whyte expresses her devastation on losing her 'wash-belly' who she says was such a great son. He was reported that the deceased was travelling with a vehicle full of students when the shooting incident occurred in front of Ascot Primary School in Portmore, St Catherine, sometime before 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. According to eyewitnesses, the students scattered in a frenzy as Whyte was chased by armed men and shot several times under a near-by tree. There were no reports of injuries to any of the students.
