The Gleaner team caught up with the reigning Girls champions, with interviews from Class One Girls 100m favourite, Serena Cole, team captain Leanna Lewis, middle distance runner Rickeisha Simms, Carifta Games Under 17 discus champion Dijonah Shaw and head coach Michael Dyke, on their targets as well as what is motivating their title defence at the 2023 ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys' and Girls' Athletics Championships. The team also caught up with reigning Class One Boys sprint double champion Bryan Levell, as well as Carifta Under 20 400m champion Delano Kennedy, and boys head coach Leon Powell on their challenging seasons and hopes
