OCTOBER 05, 2020: After more than six months, public schools in Jamaica reopened Monday with only online classes because of the continued impact of the corona virus pandemic… Meanwhile, it was a wet Monday across Jamaica as the outer bands of tropical storm Delta moved across the country, bringing with it sustained periods of heavy rains… Human rights group Stand Up for Jamaica has renewed its call for the release of low risk prisoners after 14 new positive cases were confirmed in prisons over the weekend… Finance Minister, Dr Nigel Clarke says the government will be releasing the names of at least 30,000 taxpayers who received more than $250 billion in tax write-offs under the so-called broad brush policy
