Sep 16th, 2020 | Category: #JaVotes2020 | 1:05#Gleaner #LisaHanna #StAnnSouthEastern SEPTEMBER 16, 2020: At the end of the second day of the magisterial recount for the St Ann South Eastern constituency, the People’s National Party’s (PNP) Lisa Hanna is leading the Jamaica Labour Party’s (JLP) Delroy Granston by 50 votes. With 96 of the 126 boxes completed, Hanna closed the day on 3,843, with Granston on 3,793. Hanna was initially declared winner of the seat by 14 votes (5,124 to 5,110), a lead that jumped to 32 (5,122 to 5,090) after the recount. Jordan Whittingham, one of the attorneys representing Lisa Hanna, indicated that the recount has gone smoothly so far and expressed confidence that the incumbent would retain the seat.
