#JamaicaGleaner FEBRUARY 11, 2025: Portmore is one step closer to being Jamaica’s 15th parish after the Government on Tuesday used its majority in the House of Representatives to approve a legislation to give effect to that change… The long-standing battle between artistic freedom and legal boundaries has reignited following Dancehall artiste Kiprich being charged under the Offences Against The Person Act for the lyrical content of a dubplate… Jamaica has dropped four places on Transparency International’s 2024 Corruption Perceptions Index, now ranking 73rd out of 180 countries, down from 69th in 2023… The Government will reimburse two former King’s House employees their salaries and allowances, with interest, after they were barred from work in 2021 for not providing COVID-19 test results…
