Bottles litter the landscape of the island, residents continue to burn their waste in fire pits, and few initiatives exist to entice responsible handling of waste. D'Arcey Crooks of Protect the Environment Trust (PET) details the process of recycling plastic, as well as the dangers that plastic waste poses to the environment of Jamaica.
